Erin Woo founded White Pine Montessori in 2005 when her own daughters were 3 and 1. While looking into preschool programs for her older daughter she read the book The Discovery of the Child by Maria Montessori. The book made a huge impression because everything seemed to be so true. She knew she that she wanted a Montessori school for her children and that she wanted to start one herself. She left her job as an architect to give teaching a try and found that she loves it!! She became a certified Montessori teacher through the American Montessori Society and obtained a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Endicott College. Eight years later Erin loves working with children more and more. She especially loves their energy, curiosity, enthusiasm, and openness to whatever comes. Children's love of life and learning is very much alive in these early years and Erin is grateful to be part of this time with them.
Amy Ingerson started at White Pine in 2010. Her youngest son attended White Pine for several years and when he headed off to first grade, Amy joined our school. She brings many years of teaching with her.
